The tour was fantastic! Our host, Jess, told us all about cacao beans and the process of making chocolate. We saw an excellent video where the founder of the company spoke about what inspired him to become a farmer and his ideas about chocolate making that formed the company it is today. I highly recommend it. They also have you taste at least a dozen different chocolates, and there is wine if you want to try pairing. It was a great experience!

I went with my students here and had a small tasting. The tasting was done in both Japanese and English. I really enjoyed the experience and the samples helped me make a better choice on their selection. The store was busy around lunchtime, so I was happy that I went in earlier. It was nice and clean inside. The ambiance was so-so. There was a child who cried, but that is not the business's fault, sorta. I think some hot tea got on the toddler. Full disclosure, my husband and did go to school with the owner and my mother in law was the owner's soccer coach. But regardless, it was a good experience and a clean atmosphere. I signed up to be informed when they start farm tours because I thought it would be a good experience for my students.

Thought they were in Manoa (from the name), but they are actually in Kailua. ;) Anyhow, they let you do chocolate tasting when you walk in. I also heard they have wine event later in each week. People are very friendly and their chocolates are really good. You'll get a complimentary cold bag (their original design) when you buy more than $50. If you don't have time to visit there, you can buy their chocolates at DFS in Waikīkī, however, the choices are limited and more expensive... Highly recommended to visit!

Highly recommended to stop here if visiting the islands, Have breakfast next door at Cinnamons or lunch at Ganesh dosa. I can't believe i'm a Kaneohe girl and have never been to Manoa chocolate in Kailua. I stopped by and was greeted by friendly employees that offered a free chocolate tasting. It was beyond my expectations as I got served some chocolate tea and got to try six different types of chocolate bar samples, which ended up being like ten samples since the employee was so nice. I also got to taste a whole cacao. We learned where each chocolate is sourced from and how they taste different depending where they are from. They have different lines of chocolate and many are locally sourced cacao from oahu or the Big Island and amazingly each one tastes slightly different. They offer a full chocolate factory tour with more in depth tasting for $25 w a reservation or a wine tasting for $35, both require reservations. They also have a chocolate club which i need to look more into where they make special chocolates for the club w flavors you can't normally purchase along w a 20% chocolate discount. They had a deal buy six bars and get the 7th free, i couldn't resist and a free cooler bag w a $50 purchase. I love supporting great local business and this one was fantastic w the complimentary tea and chocolate tasting. Great place to stop by if in the Kailua area.

We came here to check out the chocolate because we had a long wait for cinnamons and I'm so glad we stopped by! We did the free chocolate tasting and they were all amazing!! We saw they had wine and mead and as a mead lover and chocolate lover I couldn't pass up on a mead and chocolate pairing. We got to try a few different meads because everyone at the gym got a different one and we got to try the chocolate that paired well with it! My favorite was the lilikoi mead with the lilikoi chocolate. I also really enjoyed the mango chocolate and the mililani chocolate. I wanted to buy some chocolate but we got called for our table at cinnamons and I completely forgot to go back and buy a few chocolate bars :'( They have a $35 monthly membership to get 3 chocolate bars shipped to you(one of them being a monthly special bar) so if that interests you, signing up gets you 20% off in store!

The paid chocolate tasting and tour was great! The tour itself is pretty short and you mostly watch a video. However, the person giving the tour was very entertaining and friendly. Definitely preferred her over the video. The tasting portion was vast. We tried over 20 kinds of chocolate. The tea with the chocolate was an amazing pairing. Love how each chocolate was based off their specific farm which changes the flavors. Also want to thank them for accommodating us last minute as an extra person and with a 5 month old attached. There was another family in the tour who were sick, so that was a little downer but that's not their fault. They sat us with our baby on the side so I appreciated that. Hands down recommend everyone to the paid tasting and I'm already telling my friends to go.

It had been years since we visited their little shop in Kailua; I remember it being small but with fun chocolates and try and workshops for a small cost. On a holoholo adventure with family visiting for the first time, one remarked about wanting to try a specific type they made that was out of stock. I then had the idea to go right to the source and didn't expect it had changed so much! It's in the same general area of Kailua, with ample street parking nearby and other shops and restaurants as well. Follow the signs to the factory and wine bar: it's off a small parking lot behind the street. It's a beautiful spot, with lots of wood, a center bar, and wine racks and shelves of all their chocolate and related projects around the walls. On our visit, it was lively with groups and families enjoy wine and flights of chocolate. The staff was immediately welcoming; you can try anything you'd like for free. If you live locally, you can also subscribe to their monthly chocolate service with specialty bars not available otherwise. They have everything, every flavor and type you can imagine; you can buy single bars, boxes, and gift packages which would be perfect for events. They also have a few beers on tap. I was told they're also partnering to make a cacao wine, but otherwise select a diverse variety. If you love chocolate, this is a must visit while on Oahu. They have chocolate bars made with every flavor and fruit you can imagine. Prices are reasonable for the chocolate content and quality.

This place is a dark chocolate lover's paradise! My entire family made a stop here because we all love chocolate and wanted to get some as a souvenir. Parking was easy and they have metered parking. It's a cute shop! Very clean and they have a factory side where you can see some of their work done through the large window. My family and I did their chocolate tasting and it was so much fun and such a great way to try their products. The chocolate is small batch and very high quality. All of the staff members are absolutely amazing - helpful, friendly, and so generous with the samples. They also have a chocolate subscription if you're looking to get their products shipped to the mainland every month and it also comes with some insider perks and discounts. I really loved their dark chocolate. Very high quality and each bar with a unique taste. Their cacao tea blew me away and it was so good, I bought a bag to bring home with me. Overall, such a great experience and a fun little outing to enjoy with the family. Highly recommend making a stop here!

Lovely place to stop on the Windward side. Manoa chocolates is a chocolate lovers paradise! Make sure you are not in a rush when visiting this place. Since we had a group of eight, our chocolate docent ushered us into a nice private room encased in glass and just off to the side of the showroom. Usually sampling done at the chocolate bar in main room. For larger parties it's best to call ahead and let them know you are coming. Customer service tip notch here. Appreciate the knowledge of our chocolate educator. Provided excellent service by Sales Associate Brandon... actually ALL of the Associates here. There are various samplings one can chose from. Since we were a little short on time we went for the basic one. We enjoyed sampling the cacao hot tea (which also acted as a palate cleanser between chocolate samplings, and about 6 different chocolates including two chocolates from Oahu, some from the Big Island of Hawaii, flavored chocolates and even a vegan chocolate! Other optional samplings could include wine pairing, spritzer pairing, and a larger chocolate sampling! There is a chocolate club available to join which affords you 20 percent discount on purchases and a monthly selection of chocolate. I enjoyed our afternoon here and seriously left with way too much chocolate purchased! Hahah. Thank you Manoa Chocolate for the free Thermal shopping bag (free with $50 or more purchase). SIDE NOTE: Only after getting home and unpacking did I realize one of the sampler packs was missing a bar of chocolate. Immediately called back to the store and was assisted by the nicest Associate Jay (?). Explained the situation to him, asked if I could get the missing bar in future or... if there was another better solution. He verified my sale and was so kind to offer me a refund for missing bar instead of having to drive miles back from town. Yes, top notch service! This stop to be added onto my future adventures with visiting friends and family for sure!
